Ian Maybank

Head of Media and Connections, Specsavers

Ian is currently responsible for communications strategy, marketing planning, and consumer insights for Specsavers. He has a had a varied career working for leading Agencies, across both media and creative, in addition to working in house for brand owners. Ian’s agency career spanned senior client service roles at Grey, Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/YR, and Dentsu. In these roles he was involved in creating award winning campaigns that drove growth for several brands that included Vodafone, The Times, Lloyds TSB, and McVitie’s. In 2016 he joined PepsiCo to lead digital and media for their snack brands across Western Europe, before a 2 year stint working in the beverages business on Pepsi, 7UP, and Gatorade. In 2019 he was integral to the turnaround of Walkers Crisps reuniting the iconic crisp brand with The Spice Girls and Mariah Carey. He was also the recipient of PepsiCo’s most prestigious Chairman’s Club award two years in a row for his work on Pepsi Max.


Outside of work Ian enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, getting out on the water, and supporting AFC Bournemouth.
